Take a journey of discovery across London.
From 13th August until 31st October, The World Reimagined - an art education project - will transform the streets with a free art trail of globe sculptures, each designed by an artist who is responding to themes such as Mother Africa.
The globes have been created by artists local to the area and from across the UK, bringing the city to life. The sculptures inspire and galvanise communities to better understand what it means to be Black and British, and how we can all make racial justice a reality.
The trail features a globe by Turner prize nominee Yinka Shonibare CBE, RA, whose work examines race, class and the construction of cultural identity. His design explores the complexity of Britain’s relationship with Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean across generations.
Shonibare's globe is in St Paul’s churchyard, next to One New Change, so don’t forget to stop by and see it on your next visit.
